OK, I have been thinking about getting a tattoo on my left wrist. I think I'm going to do it! The thing that has been holding me back is the whole permanence of the thing. However, there is a place in Columbus, OH and Smyrna, GA that have Infinity Ink (which is removable ink). It's really cool. If I decide I don't want the tattoo anymore, or my next employer doesn't like it, one laser treatment will completely remove it. Less mess and pain than a permanent tattoo. Plus, as with most things I want to do, I have researched and found that 60-70% of people with tattoos want them removed eventually. That's a pretty high statistic, so I'm happy with my decision to use removable ink.
I have a workshop on October 3rd in Marietta, GA for the Future City Competition my Math Club is working on and that is near Atlanta which is near Smyrna so since I'm in the neighborhood, I figured what the heck.
Everyone knows I'm a nerd, so why would my tattoo prove anything different. Two years ago, some of my teacher friends and I were talking about getting educator tattoos. That gave me the idea of getting Math in Chinese or Japanese. Jason's cousin, Gabe, is fluent in both languages and is dating a girl from Japan (I think). He sent me some variations, which I will post if I can make it small enough. I'm still deciding on whether I want it to say math or something else. Tee hee.

hmm, why the wrist?
I just think it looks cool. :-) Plus, I can look at it any time I want. I was also thinking of some inspirational word like believe or something like that, but I think a Chinese symbol would be cool. And, if I don't like what it says, I can always tell people it means something else and they won't know :-) tee hee
I definitely love the idea of a removable ink - hmmm :) maybe that is something I could do someday!! The Chinese is a good idea for the freedom of translation, but I think the believe idea (or something like that) is a really cool idea!!
